Working with google chrome, things are so confusing

word count

Posted in Prophet of Mars on September 24, 2010 by stevenrmorrison

I just hit 86,400 words, so a bit on novel length, and I am maybe 3/4 or so through it.. maybe less.
I am at 263 pages, average of 328 words/page
Yikes!! According to the “typewriter world” that is almost 350 pages!

In the days of the typewriter, a double-spaced page with 1-inch margins would hold an average of 250 words. So you could assume that since 4 pages = 1000 words, 240 pages = 60,000 words, which was the typical length for most mainstream and mystery novels.

re-evaluate things and the need for that

Okay, what do we do?

When will the land sell, the house or the van. That is out of my control. What I need to do is figure out how to regulate and manage my time. I have a lot to do and not that time is a factor, it just would be good to get motivated. I need a reason to pay attention and need to figure out how to set deadlines. Well I can set deadlines, tht is the easy part, making them or even making them mean something is totally another kettle of fish.

Book is behind schedule, but I can blame health, panic, Dar, the cats, hell even facebook for diverting my attention from the task at hand. I wish I could keep promises that I make to myself as easily as I make excuses for breaking them. I need a task master, because the one I have now (working for myself) my boss is an idiot.

Is it politically correct to call yourself an idiot? Or must I now self-censure myself. No Ice cream for you Steve, you bad boy.

Ramble ramble ramble.

I am outta here
